What is Happening?

he thermite reaction can reach temperatures over 4000 degrees F. A small amount of iron oxide and aluminum powder are placed inside a small clay pot. The mixture is ignited with a jumbo sparkler. As the reaction takes place, molten iron is formed and flows out the bottom of the pots.
